The Truth About Selling Gold
Yes...Precious Metals like Gold-Silver-Platinum are at historic
highs.
If you have jewelry you no longer wear, it does make sense to
sell.
Where you sell is important.
I’d like to share with
you a couple of recent observations:
1.) Yesterday a client came in with jewelry
to sell, we offered $493.00.
She accepted and
then told us of her experiences at two other very well known jewelers: one offered $377.00, the other $298.00.
2.) ABC News program Nightline
took an in-depth look at gold-buyback service
Cash 4 Gold (the company
that did the Super Bowl ad with Ed McMahon).
The title of the
segment , "Fools Gold”, says it all.
3.) A
very good customer of Matthew Erickson Jewelers attended a friend’s jewelry
party. She brought in her old gold to see what they would offer her. She felt her jewelry was worth more than they
offered. She then came to Matthew
Erickson Jewelers and was offered 1/3 more than what she was offered at the
jewelry party. Questioning the vast difference, we explained to her that the
commission the person gets from hosting a home party is taken out of her gold
money. A continued satisfied customer.
Please do not sell your gold, silver, platinum, coins, watches, Rolex and more to anyone
until you have seen us. We have heard of valuable heirloom and designer pieces
sold for scrap then resold for 10 times the price paid. We can show you how to
receive the maximum amount for your jewelry or double your cash value for in-store credit and buy yourself something
new!
